So then why are native apps still expensive to maintain if PWAs are better alternatives?

This looks to be same googlelabs as this link.

    https://developers.google.com/web/fundamentals/codelabs/your-first-pwapp/
and this git repo > https://github.com/googlecodelabs/your-first-pwapp.git
    https://github.com/googlecodelabs/your-first-pwapp/archive/master.zip

I couldn't find a completed git repo to compare any typos. I have this working on local host, but hangs when hosted on an aws ec2 instance.

It's a nice user experience right up to the point that you've received 20 different permission prompts from each site. If Google wants to push PWAs, great, but you need to get with the other browser makers and update the security model as well as standardize functionality around browser storage. Users also need to be educated on the difference between a web app installed on the home screen vs one run in the browser, or make those distinctions irrelevant.

There's nothing that's being said here, that a native app with a native library can not do. Perhaps the only thing that gives web apps the real edge is simplifying the interface enough to allow web developers to contribute to app development with less ramp up time, and giving the maintainers a substantial leeway to push new features without the need for every user to install updates.so what I'm saying is the success stories attributed to PWA may not be a fair conclusion to make. Or maybe I'm missing something here

it's 2021 and I never found a real utility from PWA apps…. these "apps" are totally useless, absolutely no value against native apps. they're just a bunch of useless web shortcuts, doesn't make any sense.

    NO MORE USELESS PWA's!!!!

That is a message from Google that never gives developers the opportunity to develop pwa and twa, suddenly our application is suspended, don't expect much to develop PWA & TWA, verification of digital links is already done, the domain is private, but it is considered spam,,

Nobody will add a homepage to the homescreen. Why should i? At the end of the day my homescreen will blow up. Hmmm a time wasting project. Maybe interesting for websites which are not allowed to be listed in the appstore/playstore
